AP And Telangana Suspends Prisoners Meeting Their Families:- The jail authorities of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana suspended the prisoners meeting their family members after the coronavirus outrage. It is to prevent the spread of coronavirus among the inmates. The order has been issued yesterday and will come into effect from today. Things will be decided once the impact of coronavirus comes down said Ahsan Reza, Director General of Prisoners and Correctional Services, Andhra Pradesh.

The Prisons department of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana suspended interviews and mulaqat with the prisoners until the situations improve. This is to prevent the spread of the coronavirus among the inmates. To provide relief to the prisoners, they will be allowed to speak to their family members four times in a week through telephone if there is any need. Other visitors and appointments too are canceled with the inmates. Rajiv Trivedi, Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services, Telangana said it was a precautionary measure to reduce the exposure of prisoners to coronavirus.

Five coronavirus cases are registered in Telangana while one case is registered in Andhra Pradesh.
