Retirement Age in Telangana to be Hiked:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) already announced that the government is in plans to increase the retirement age from 58 to 61 years for all the employees who are working in the government sector. As per the update, this would be implemented from April 1st. The Pay Revision Commission will submit a detailed report after which KCR will take the call on the retirement age in the state.

Sources say that KCR is keen on increasing the age limit to either 60 or 61 after reviewing the report. Several employees who are close to retirement are waiting for the big announcement from the Chief Minister. From Telangana, 26,000 employees will get retired in the next three years approximately. Hence, KCR's decision will surely make a huge difference for many. It is heard that the government will be saving Rs 3500 crores every year with the increase of the age limit as the government will not need to pay gratuity other retirement benefits.
