Dokka Resigns as MLC: TDP Receives a Shock:- Senior TDP leader and ex-Minister Dokka Manikya Varaprasad submitted his resignation as MLC today after he was depressed with the way the capital is moved out from Amaravati. He sent his resignation letter to the TDP Chief Chandra Babu Naidu through fax. Dokka Manikya Varaprasad made it clear that he would state away from active politics and will not contest in any elections in the future. He thanked Chandra Babu Naidu and Lokesh for their unconditional support in his journey.
Dokka Manikya Varaprasad strongly opposed the AP Government's decision of three capitals and he decided not to attend the Legislative Council meeting held today. There are huge protests across the state after the three capital bill got approved in the cabinet meeting yesterday. Amaravati farmers along with opposition leaders are badly opposing the decision of shifting the capital to Vizag. Tight security has been imposed across Amaravati and most of the TDP leaders got house arrested.
