Two Dead, 25 Injured After Two Buses Collide in Chittoor District:- Two people died and 25 people got injured after two buses headed for a collision in Chittor district. A state-run bus collided with a private bus at Casipant Heritage near Pulapalapattu-Naidupet main road in Chittor district during the early hours of today. APSRTC Volvo collided with a private bus that was carrying ayyappa devotees that are traveling from Nalgonda to Sabarimala. The rescue team rushed and they had to use gas cutters to rescue the passengers.

With ambulance unavailable, some of the casualties have been rushed to RUIA Hospital in a lorry. The traffic on the highway got blocked for hours after the incident took place at Pulapalapattu-Naidupet road. The APSRTC Volvo was on its way from Vijayawada to Kuppam. The driver and the cleaner of this bus died on the spot. Both the buses are badly damaged with the collision. The deceased have been identified as Krishna (driver) and Prasad (cleaner). All the 15 Sabarimala passengers are injured in the incident.
