Vizag, Anantapur and Tirupati to be Developed as Smart Cities:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy conducted a review meeting in his camp office in Amaravati during which a decision of three concept cities has been taken. He asked the officials to plan concept cities to develop in Visakhapatnam, Anantapur and Tirupati. YS Jagan said that these cities will be developed in a radius of 10 sq.km. The decision has been taken during YS Jagan's meeting with the Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Department. YS Jagan also wanted the system of volunteers, ward secretariats to be tech-savy.

YS Jagan said that the system would help root out corruption and hence it needed a strong IT network. The three smart cities idea has been taken after YSRCP kept the plans of Amaravati on hold. The Chief Minister said that the single-window system had been introduced for transparency in sanctioning of industries. Land, water and power would be provided at nominal rates for setting up industries. YS Jagan slammed Chandra Babu Naidu for making false claims during his time and attacking YSRCP.
