Eight Hours After The Train Clash, MMTS Driver Rescued:- The shocking accident of MMTS train clashing with an inter-city express in Kacheguda created a sensation across the Telugu states. The video footage of the train clash went viral all over. Over 16 people were injured in this accident and the loco-pilot got stuck in the MMTS engine. With the engine almost crushed, the pilot struggled a lot to get out from the cabin. He was injured and got suffocated in the engine shouting for help. The NDRF team along with the railway rescue team struggled hard for eight hours to get him out finally from the engine.

L Chandrasekhar who hails from Eluru is the MMTS loco pilot and was stuck in the cabin after the fatal accident. He was finally rescued at 7 PM last evening and was rushed to a private hospital. A special medical team rushed to the spot and inducted oxygen, saline from outside. Gas cutters were brought to cut down the crashed cabin and bring Chandrasekhar out. Chandrasekhar was rushed to Care Hospitals, Nampally and he is recovering well. All the medical tests are conducted currently and the doctors clarified that his health status is stable but he is in a lot of mental and physical pressure.

The NDRF staff had to act sensibly as they had to use gas cutters. Without getting Chandrasekhar injured and they managed not to increase the temperature because of the heat generated by the gas cutters.
