New Liquor Policy in Telangana From November 1st:- The Telangana Government today issued a notification about the new liquor policy which will be applicable from 1st November this year till October 31st next year. An amount of Rs 50 lakhs is to be paid if the population around the region is below 5000 and Rs 55 lakhs is the population is over 5000 and below 50000. If the population is between 50,000 and 1 lakh, the amount to be paid is Rs 60 lakhs and for the population below 5 lakhs, it would be Rs 65 lakhs.

For the population between 5 lakh and 20 lakh, the amount to be paid is Rs 85 lakhs and Rs 1.10 crores will be paid for the region if the population is over 20 lakh. Rs 2 lakhs will be paid for the non-refundable application and a lottery system will be taken to finalize the shop owners. If the shop falls in the GHMC limits, the wine shops will operation from 10 AM and 11 PM. For other regions, it would be 10 AM to 10 PM.
