After 100 Years, Hyderabad Registers Record Rainfall

After 100 Years, Hyderabad Registers Record Rainfall:- Hyderabad received a record amount of rainfall this month which is the highest ever in the past 100 years said KTR, the Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development. KTR said that the city received over 110 mm of rain this month as per the records from Skymet, a private weather forecasting service. Heavy rains on Monday and Tuesday night left the city flooded with water. Disaster Response Force and other teams are working to clear the waterlogging in the city.

42 areas are left flooded in the range of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. GHMC officials are working round the clock to minimize the inconvenience that is caused to the citizens. Flooding also affected parts of Malkajgiri and Shamirpet neighborhood. Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat inspected several regions and monitored the rescue operations. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) yesterday warned of heavy rain till September 26th.
