Janasena Party MLA Arrested for Alleged Attack on Police Station:- The Janasena party MLA Rapaka Varaprasad was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the alleged attack on Razole police station.

A criminal case has been registered against MLA Rapaka and 15 of his followers and was also taken into custody. A non-bailable case has been booked for allegedly destroying public property and obstructing duties of police.

On Sunday, Malikipuram SI KV Rama Rao and his team raided a guest house belonging to Kaligithi Kumar and arrested nine persons for indulging in gambling and seized Rs 37,700, six bikes and five mobile phones.

Having learned about the arrest, MLA Rapaka, along with his followers, went to the police station to get them released. Subsequently, a heated argument broke out between followers and police.

In this context, the police have filed a case against them for allegedly attacking the police station. However, Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena Party activists alleged that the police had abused the MLA.

Condemning the arrest, Pawan Kalyan blamed the police for the flare-up. He said that he is tracking every information of this incident and there is nothing wrong on Rapaka's side.

"As Rapaka knows a person who was detained by the cops, he went to the police station for bail. Instead of issuing the bail, the police filed a case against Rapaka and then issued a non-bailable warrant against him. A few days back a YSRCP MLA tried to kidnap a journalist. He is left with a small namesake case. This shows the government is biased and if they continue to do, I will have to step into action," warned Pawan Kalyan.

Pawan advised the government and police to let go the case and also appealed to the Jana Sena leaders and cadre to hold back peace and patience in this sensitive case and make sure law & order doesn't get disturbed.
