Sujana Chowdary Summoned by CBI:- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summoned the former Union Minister and TDP crucial leader YS Chowdary in relation with the Rs 71 crore bank fraud case. The CBI asked Sujana Chowdary to appear before CBI office in Bengaluru on Friday. FIRs have been booked against Best and Crompton Engineering Products Limited and the firm's directors. CBI said that they defrauded banks to get Rs 304 crores which included Rs 124 crores from Central Bank of India, Rs 120 crores from Corporation Bank and Rs 60 crores from Andhra Bank.

Along with Sujana Chowdary, K Srinivas Kalyan Rao and four other directors have been accused in the Andhra Bank fraud case of Rs 71 crores. They are charged for forgery, cheating and criminal conspiracy. The Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax officials conducted surprise raids on the properties, offices and residences of Sujana Chowdary last year. Some of his properties got attached by the Enforcement Directorate and Sujana Chowdary will be drilled today in connection with his bank fraud case.
