CBI Under Scanner For Diluting Mallya's Lookout Circular:- Liqour baron Vijay Mallya has been absconding from the country after he owes Rs 9000 crores to Indian banks. He recently made some sensational comments that he met Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to settle the issue before he flew abroad. Soon the opposition Congress lashed at Jaitley that he is well aware of Vijay Mallya's fly and asked him to step down from his position. The functioning of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has now come under scanner after the lookout circular was diluted by the agency.

The lookout circular calling for the detention of Vijay Mallya was diluted months before he flew to UK. After this Mallya flew from the country. CBI Director Alok Verma issued strict warning to everyone not to utter a single word on this. However CBI's explanation was not convincing and they revealed that the notice was issued on October 16th 2015 and it was diluted on November 23rd. CBI revealed that they did not believe that Mallya would fly from the country. The CBI asked the Bureau of Immigration to dilute the lookout notice at the airport after which Vijay Mallya flew from the country.
