KCR announces 500 tonnes of Rice for Kerala: Telangana Government turned out to be a huge support for its neighbouring state Kerala which has been shattered with heavy rains, landslides and floods. The losses incurred have been huge and the whole country started donating for the state. Telangana Government announced a fund of Rs 25 crores and a cheque has been sent to the Chief Minister. Now Telangana Chief Minister KCR announced that Telangana will send 500 tonnes of rice for the badly affected Kerala. KCR immediately said yes after he received a request from the Kerala officials.
KCR instructed Finance and Civil Supplies Minister Etela Rajender, Chief Secretary SK Joshi and Civil Supplies Commission Akun Sabharwal to send rice to Kerala on immediate basis. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also wrote a letter to Chandrashekhar Rao thanking him for the support. Along with fund, Telangana Government sent 50 reverse osmosis water purifiers for the state. 100 tonnes of cattle feed and 1.25 lakh doses of veterinary vaccines have been sent for Kerala yesterday.
