Union Minister Rajen Gohain Booked In Rape Case:- A case has been registered against Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain for raping and threatening a 24-year-old married woman who hails from Nagaon district in Assam. Soon after this Gohain filed complaint of blackmailing against the woman and claimed that the case against Rajen Gohain has been withdrawn. Nagoan police informed that th woman pleaded to withdraw the case but the investigation is on.

Nagaon Deputy Superintendent of Police (headquarter) Sabita Das said the case was registered against Mr Gohain and the investigation has begun. The cops refused to share the details about the woman and about the case. Minister Rajen Gohain remained unavailable to make any comment on this and he stay away from responding over his mobile. A FIR was registered under IPC sections 417 (cheating), 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
