Floods And Landslides Shatter Kerala Due To Heavy Rains:- Kerala has been hit with heavy rains once again this year and the state has been shattered with floods and landslides which is making the people sleepless. This brought the normal life to a standstill all over. All the educational institutions in Kollam, Palakkad, Kozhikode districts remained shut and will continue till this weekend. Many villages across these districts witnessed water entering their houses due to the massive floods. Wayanad and Palakkad witnessed continuous rain from the past couple of days.

The shutters of Banasura Sagar dam have been opened due to the overflow of water. All the quarrying activities have been stopped as of now as per the instructions from the district Collectors. Some of the examinations have been postponed after the schools and colleges remained shut. Two people lost their lives in a landslide in Idukki district and eleven people have been missing from the past couple of days. Some of the houses have been submerged in water and some of them have been admitted in Adimaali taluk hospital. Kerala received an excessive rainfall of 15% from the past couple of months.
