Vijay Mallya's Jet Auctioned For Rs 35 Cr:- Absconding liquor baron Vijay Mallya's properties are being auctioned and its now the turn for his luxury jet. It bears his initials "VT-VJM" in the registration number. The lavish jet finally found a buyer and it was sold for Rs 35 crores. Three auctions have been failed earlier and the Airbus A319-133C VT-VJM MSN 2650 has been auctioned on Friday.

The US-based Aviation Management Sales, LLC emerged as the highest bidder and the jet was sold for Rs 34.8 crores which 5.5 million USD. The bids in the previous auctions have been 1.9 million USD. The auction has been held to recover the dues of Kingfisher Airlines which is now in liquidation. The market price of the jet would be 100 million USD and it was sold for a cheap price as it was left in grounded condition. It accommodates 25 passengers along with six crew members. Mallya's jet was parked in Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai.
