Landslides And Floods Kill Five In Kerala:- Five people including three children passed away due to the heavy landslides and flash floods in Kerala. Due to heavy floods, there have been landslides across Kozhikode. Areas like Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod, Kozhikode and Palakkad have been alerted and the government has been taking measures to prevent human loss. Four houses have been swept away in Thamarassery and the rescue operations are on and eleven people have been missing. The schools and the colleges across the areas have been closed.

Roads in Kozhikode and Wayanad have been blocked. Ministers E Chandrasekharan, TP Ramakrishnan and AK Saseendran have been personally monitoring the situations. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is taking care of the rescue operations. Kakkayam reservoir in Kozhikode and Neyyar Dam in Thiruvananthapuram have been alerted.
