IPL Craze: Over 1 Lakh Travelled In Hyderabad Metro During Extended Hours:- The Hyderabad Metro Rail announced that it would work till extended time during the days IPL matches and now Hyderabad Metro revealed that over 1 lakh fans travelled during the season till 12.30 AM during the matches in Hyderabad. Between April 9th and May 19th, the city hosted seven matches during which Hyderabad Metro has been extended to 12.30 from 11 PM. The extended services were made available from the Uppal, Stadium and NGRI Metro stations towards Miyapur and Nagole stations.
On an average almost 10000 passengers travelled through Hyderabad Metro. On April 22nd and May 19th, over 20000 passengers travelled in Hyderabad Metro after completion of the matches in Uppal Stadium. With temperatures on a rise, most of the fans preferred to travel through metro who came from long distance. Some of them preferred metro to prevent parking constraints near Uppal stadium.
