Cyclone Ockhi To Make Landfall In Gujarat:- Cyclone Ockhi shattered the coastal regions of Tamil Nadu and Kerala along with Lakshadweep. It has been a week since the destruction started which left several homeless. Cyclone Ockhi is expected to make a landfall in Gujarat today night. Cyclone Ockhi is now laid centred about 850 kms South west of Surat. It is expected to cross North Maharashtra and South Gujarat coasts during the midnight of Tuesday.

Severe rainfall has been suggested for Maharashtra and Gujarat during the day. Schools and colleges have been asked to be closed as per the weather predictions across Gujarat and Maharashtra. Palghar, Thane, Raigarh, and Greater Mumbai will witness huge rainfall today. Valsad, Surat, Navsari, Bharuch, Dang, Tapi, Amreli, Gir- Somnath and Bhavnagar districts of Gujarat are expected to have huge rainfall. The fishermen have been warned not to enter into the sea across the coast line of Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka. The death toll reached 28 because of Cyclone Ockhi.

Around 90 people have been still missing in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Most of the fishermen have been rescued who went into the sea and the remaining 260 have been still missing. Indian Navy, Indian Air Force and Coast Guard have been continuing the rescue operations in the sea.
