New Law On Surrogacy To Emerge By TS Govt:- An announcement was made by the Health Minister C Laxma Reddy on Thursday, in the Telangana Legislative Assembly during the Question Hour. He stated that the Telangana government is planning to bring in a law on surrogacy.

Suggestions would be taken by the government from the surrogacy bill introduced in Lok Sabha in 2016, said the Minister.

Moreover, Congress leaders G Chinna Reddy, J Geeta Reddy and Padmavati Reddy expressed their concern over the infertility centers that are allegedly running illegally in Hyderabad. The leaders stated that in the surrogacy process, many poor women are exploited and further urged the government to bring in an Act for surrogacy.

Minister Laxma Reddy, reacting to this, said that the retired judge, Justice Gopal Reddy has appointed a committee, to make suggestions and recommendations on the matter.
