Dera Baba Moves To HC Against Conviction:- Dera Sacha Sauda sect chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has been announced convicted in the twin rape cases and is jailed in Rohtak. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh now moved to Punjab and Haryana High Court challenging the verdict revealed by a special CBI Court. The special petition has been filed by the counsels however the matter is yet to be listed by the court for hearing.

Gurmeet has been sentenced 20 years of imprisonment by the CBI Court and he has been fined of Rs 30 lakhs. The Special CBI Court on Monday in Panchkula rejected the plea of Khatta Singh who was the former driver of Dera Baba. Khatta stepped out after he wanted to record a statement which is related to a murder cases that have been filed against Dera Chief after he was convicted.

Gurmeet is currently residing in District Jail at Sunaria, Rohtak since August 25th amdist tight security. Gurmeet was announced convicted of raping two sadhvis in Sirsa during 1999 and the verdict has been revealed now. The case will be listed for hearing soon.
