Kapu Patriarch To Launch Padayatra For BC Reservations:- A Padayatra on the issue of Kapu reservations will be launched by Kapu Patriarch, Mudragada Padmanabham, from July 26.
Mudragada said the yatra christened as “Chalo Amaravati” would start from his native village of Kirlampudi.
The Kapu movement for BC reservations would complete two years on July 26, said the Kapu Patriarch. He further said that the yatra is intended to remind the ruling party to keep its promise of allotting BC status to the Kapus. The government was deliberately sitting on the Manjunath Committee constituted to looking into the issue, said Mudragada.
“The committee has completed its tour of 13 districts long ago, but nothing has been done. There was no response even from the Chief Minister even though several letters have been sent.” This only shows the dislike that Chandrababu has for the Kapus.
