According to Yahoo! India, this year also, the most searched personality on internet is none other than Actress Sunny Leone. The former adult movie star won the battle  for the fifth consecutive year in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi and actor Salman Khan were the lead.

Salman was on top becoming the most searched male celebrity of 2016. The second most searched male celebrity was a stand-up comedian and popular TV personality Kapil Sharma followed by Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.

Previously there was a buzz that actress Bipasha Basu's wedding to actor Karan Singh Grover made her to the second most-searched female celebrity. Actress Deepika Padukone took came third, followed by Katrina Kaif at the fourth position.

Every year, Yahoo! India issues its 'Year in Review' list, which shows the people, events and stories that caught the attention of Indians in that year.
