10 Year Old Chennai Boy Contributes for "Clean Ganga"Project

Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan was one of the initiatives announced by the Modi government. In this campaign the main focus was cleanliness. Another campaign which was also launched was  clean the Ganga River which campaigns for pollution.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced nation to contribute to these campaigns. While the grownups are least enthusiastic in changing their ways for cleanliness, a 10-year-old child from Chennai have come up to do a bit for the cleanliness of the river.

G Shashank, from Chennai, sent Rs 1000, along with a letter in which he stated that he is sending this amount as a part of contribution to the Clean Ganga Project. He also said that he always uses natural products. He also avoids plastic to keep the city clean.

The most interesting part is that Shashank did not asks the money from his parents. He won a school competition in which he got cash price of Rs. 1000.

The money reached the Prime Minister’s Office after which PM Modi himself wrote a letter of  appreciation and sent it to Shashank. In the letter, Modi said that his contribution is valuable for the cause.
