Twitter Attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal made a video in which he ‘saluted’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Indian army’s surgical strikes on September 29 across the Line of Control (LoC).

In a video released online, Kejriwal said, “I may have a hundred differences with the Prime Minister but I salute him for the will he has shown in this matter (surgical strikes on Pakistan).”

However, he also pointed out how Pakistan and the international media were denying that the strikes took place, and urged Modi to ‘unmask Pakistan’s propaganda’.

He asked the Centre to “counter” Pakistan’s claims and also asked people not to believe Pakistan’s reports on the surgical strike. After Kejriwal praised Modi, the hashtag #AKBackModiOnPak started trending on Twitter, but soon after, #KejriwalDoubtsIndianArmy started trending.

Twitterati lashed out at Kejriwal for indirectly calling on the PM to prove the strikes happened.
