Anaconda out of Bangalore potholes

In the past, we once discussed about crocodile on Bangalore main roads. Now it is Anaconda on Bangalore potholes.

This a unique method of protest by a group on the officials, who did not care to react on the pot holes issue, which are destroying the busy roads. The children, who passed this way got threatened in the beginning by seeing the Anaconda, that too with a hand projecting out of its mouth. But later the spot is attracted by many.

To call attention to the problem of water-logging in the city, Namma Bengaluru Foundation (NBF), a group that is working for solving the problems in Bangalore, came up with this idea. Pushparaj, a graduate in Chitrakala Parishath is the man behind cerating and installing it in the Yeshwanthpur market.

“There is humour, art, sarcasm in the craft, but more importantly, there is a deeper message in it that we are trying to deliver,” says Sridhar Pabbisetty, CEO of Namma Bengaluru Foundation.

After installing this, local goons tried to intimidate the artist and NBF members. They even stamped on the artwork and damaged it, but retreated after they found that media was watching. The police requested the team to relocate the artwork.
