Rahul Gandhi to be made President?

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi who is on a leave, is likely to made the President of AICC in April month. According to the sources, the AICC sessions which are likely to be held in April in Bangalore, Rahul will be given the complete authority of the Congress party. Mr. Gandhi's mother Sonia has been leading the Congress since 1998 and it would be a huge task for the 44 year old MP from Amethi at a time when there is a huge crisis in the party.

Rahul Gandhi was made the vice president in 2013 but failed to lead the Congress to victory in the 2014 annual elections. The previous government which was lead by Congress, also did not dare to announce Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Ministerial candidate, as it would have a major impact on the political career of Mr. Gandhi. Currently on leave, Rahul wanted to take some time off for introspection of the election debacle and uncertainty within the Congress party.

Post the election defeat, many are pitching their voice for Rahul's sister Priyanka but she has been away from the party proceedings. Apparently Rahul wants to replace many leaders in the party from holding key positions and bring in young blood. But this decision is not being appreciated by the leadership and so fumed by Rahul reportedly went on a holiday.
