The International Cricket Council [ICC] has confirmed Big FM as the official radio partner for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 to be held in Australia starting from February 14 to March 29. To provide better coverage of the third biggest sporting event in the world, ICC is taking all initiatives and especially the focus is on air and off air content. This eventually results in more revenue for the ICC too.
As part of the deal, Big FM has already designed a special program called 'Cricket Ka Big Headquarter' exclusively for marketing the ICC World cup across the air and digital platforms. This program will be launched on February 8 across the 45 Big FM stations in the country. Apart from regular updates, Big FM will be promoting the World Cup through games, trivia, picture updates and quizzes. Big FM has also tied up with PLUGGD Radio in the digital space to launch a mobile app for ‘Cricket Ka Big Headquarters.’
Cricket commentator and expert Harsha Bhogle will be giving pre and post match analysis. A contest is also being designed by Big FM and six winners of the contest will watch the grand finale live in Australia. Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag will be the judge for the contest.
