This is Cinema not politics, Charan responds

Charan has two big releases coming up and many have an eye on how his Bollywood debut fares. It is rumored that a top hero wants to time his Bollywood entry based on Zanjeer's reviews. Meanwhile, the Seemandhra agitation and AP bifurcation issues are proving to be major spoilsports for Charan.

It is obvious that many external forces are affecting Charan at this point and that the film itself has nothing to do with it. That is what Charan said to a leading daily when asked about his feelings. Do not mix politics with cinema, he responded.

Speaking openly, he requested the protestors  to not mix cinema with politics even though the state's burning issue is bigger than his films. He said that a film should be treated as a film only as Toofan is the result of the hard work of many individuals across the country. If the film does not release, lot of livelihoods are at stake, Charan quipped.

The actor is receiving both positive and negative talk for Zanjeer, his Bollywood debut. The film received a U/A certificate at the Censors, but the Telugu version was slapped with an A certificate. That's certainly disappointing to many Mega fans. The presence of an item number is said to have prompted the state censor board to give it an all Adults certificate.

Troubles aside, it does make sense to leave the films alone, as Charan had rightfully said that many other technicians, cast and crew went into the making of Toofan. It's not just the Mega family who would be affected by protests, but other poorer technicians who gave the film their sweat.
