Prevention of Crime in India

It is said that the crime is the commotion of act which is not only legally apprehensible yet also morally comprehensible. But this only for those who see crime from a humanitarian point of view. Criminals,on the other hand, are people whose sense of values has already eroded and to whom the social and moral obligations don’t create any compulsion in the conscience. Crime is committed generally by two types of compulsions, better says, insanities. One, to generalise, by a sort of unthinking suddenness of a hot temper which often turns into the pricking of conscience after the massacre and two, by a deliberate en-devour made to fulfill a particular purpose. Criminals, after all are made, they are not born; they are subject to correction.

Punishment, then, should aim at not committing another crime but as a means of correction. It is estimated that most of the crimes today is generating from amidst the young section of people. The police files manifests that nearly ninety three of the arrested first-time criminals during the year 1998 is hailed from well-to-do families. Not that poverty does much for their such tend of life, but a sort of unguarded aspiration for getting rich and very rich in a quick succession has taken them up to that measure. The police officials continue their haunts for those youths who rob the rich businessmen of his all leaving him half-dead, and for those who want to snatch the young women from the running car in a bid to rape her.

These criminals are often apprehended but the police seems helpless before the time-consuming court of law. It takes much time to prove one criminal. Added to this, there is special band of lawyers. They dig out the loopholes of the law and protect the criminals from being got a sentence from the court of law. The bribery and corruption within the police department cannot do much in a publicly open crime case. But, the political powers, the law system and all other such factors prevent the police from acting properly against the criminals. Police atrocities are often condemned but should we be sympathized to those who commit murders, rape women or kill men brutally?

Let us understand the fact that we have a really strong economy and intellectual power than many other rich countries globally, it's just that we must realize it's positivity while utilizing it positively. Self realization of the power within. Things would then start changing and crimes would decline. Think healthy for the well being of the humankind, before it's too late!

Remember, someone has to take the first step!
