Court permits CBI to raid Jagan interests

nampally-courtIn tune with the mind of the state high court, the Nampally criminal Court today permitted the CBI to conduct raids and searches on the properties, houses and offices of the YSR congress party president YS Jaganmohan reddy.

Earlier, the CBI officials, who have registered an FIR against Jagan for probing his alleged illegal wealth on the orders of the High Court, today submitted an application to the Nampally criminal court seeking permission to raid the offices and houses of Jagan and conduct searches with regard to his properties.

The CBI teams, which had arrived from Visakhapatnam, Bangalore and Chennai, are now expected to launch the raids and searches on Jagan properties any moment.

Meanwhile, Jagan in his petition to the Supreme Court, had sought a stay on the orders of the High Court and requested it not to allow freezing of his assets and bank accounts by the CBI. It is however not yet clear when his petition will be taken up for consideration by the Apex court.
