After a gap of nearly 33 years, two very important festivals Bonalu and Ramzan are coinciding in the city. As celebrations ensue, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has assured of strict maintenance of law and order. Keeping the festival celebrations a priority, the CM has also sanctioned Rs2.5 crores for arrangements and to provide basic amenities across all mosques in the city.
All government departments will now co-ordinate to facilitate all required arrangements for the coming month. Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi requested the government to complete all work before the holy month begins so that there is continual power supply during prayers.
Hyderabad city police commissioner Anurag Sharma confirmed that neighboring buildings can be used for parking during prayers. Labour commissioner Ashok Kumar commented that night bazaars and road side vendors will have relaxed rules during the month.
Additionally, there would also be work undertaken to clear sewage and debris in the city.
