Disgrace of lobbying keeps AP away from Delhi

The podium erected for the guests of honour to view the 64th Republic day parade was set ablaze by the miscreants in the predawn hours of the day. The dais constructed on the Ibrahimpatinam-Manchala road in Ranga Reddy District was  ruined by some unidentified mob. They also set a car parked on the road while escaping under the cover of darkness. Police rushed to the spot and are investigating the issue.

Meanwhile the main venue of the state where the Governor E S L Narasimhan would take the honours is being aesthetically decorated with the view of the occasion. The Secunderabad Parade grounds will the venue where the national flag would hoisted in the presence of an elite gathering. Security has been beefed up around the parade grounds.

The tableau of  various departments that speak about the respective developments in the last one year have been neatly decorated and wait at the venue.

However Andhra Pradesh tableau of an  offbeat theme on palaces and rocks of Hyderabad was squarely rejected at the national capital. The irony was that the decision was taken up at the forth or the final stage of selection. The committee under the Union defense ministry rejected AP's proposals. Hence the state would not be represented for the fourth consecutive time in the national parade, a disgrace of lobbying. (Wishesh AarKay)
