Kaun Banega Crorepati 6, Don't miss it

Big B is back to give big money on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC 6) in its sixth edition. Sony televisions brings in this show which is a sibling to a hit British TV show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? that created television history when it was launched in July 2000. the sixth edition was unraveled Friday and will air every weekend at 8.30 pm exclusively on Sony Entertainment Television. And this season begins as usual with the graceful welcome from the superstar of superstars Amitabh Bachchan who is the host of the show. The TRP rating soar for this show ever since its launch. Riding high on the success Sony tried to deviate and sideline the host by replacing him in the earlier runs, but the changed backfired. And the media company had to go back on heals to bring in the star of stars. And then the rating started climbing up once again.

A cheerful  contestant Kanwar Singh from Amritsar took charge of the hot seat as the first contestant of this season. But cheerful young contestant from Punjab, Surtej Singh, won more than six lakh rupees, that is to be telecast today as the second episode.

The highlights of the opening day of this season is a recitation by the star and host who is filled with grace. He recites a poem, emphasising the power of knowledge which dispels the darkness called ignorance. And in addition shall remain with the person for ever, knowledge is an asset that neither can be stolen but only would aid better than anything else in life. The first episode before going on board to the hot seat, Amitji joins in a heartwarming performance along with the top four Indian Idol contestants Vipul, Amit, Devendra and Poorvi. The five perform to a Salim- Sulaiman rendition.

There other important moment scheduled is the superstar croons along with the  famous Shillong Chamber Choir, that was singing a medley put together for KBC 2012, arranged by Neil Nongkynrih, the choir's founder and conductor. A special UV act choreographed on a range of songs by ace choreographer Remo D'Souza, also entertained the viewers as an opening bonanza.

Apart from all this we have the usual fun with Amitji at the driving seat like lock karen, computerji, computer mahasaya, 50:50, phone a fried, audience poll and lifeline. All these are traditional dictum of the actor who is the corner stone for the whole show. This year too the maximum prize money is Rs 5 Cr. And this time Amitji explains how KBC had influenced the lives of the winners and how they were able to fulfill their social desires. A video recording of such success stories also forms the core part of the show.

On the whole KBC has an exceptionally good trp across India, inspite of a language jargon. This is where the real mind game begins and the only that really tests your brains. Pulsating moments that makes the viewer vibe with the hot seat participant is the bets part of this popular show. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
