Especially for all those aspiring on great missions like IIT, AIEEE or BITS and any other competitive exams after your Plus 2 (Inter/Class 12), then this is for you. The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a test that gives you first hand feel of the bigger missions up your minds. And the most important news is that a bench mark in this test will earn you a regular amount per month for this academic year. This test for which today September 07 is the last date, helps the parent and the ward equally. One issue that needs to be commended is the  Department of Science and Technology, Government of India has made this test uniform to all, irrespective of any differences. It is purely based on merit.

It is an ongoing national programme to identify intellectual students, who have an aptitude for science and research. This could be done only if the student is thorough with minuscule information on all the issues. KVPY conducts the exam for class X, and XII. There is a test for those graduating in science also. The streams of test are  SA, SX and SB. Online application is available on http://www.kvpy.org.in/kvpy-1213/.

Especially  the girls are waived off from paying an examination fee which is also a welcome point. Scholarships are given on the class of the student. For those who are pursuing tenth class Rs 4,000 per month, with Annual Contingency grant: Rs. 16,000.  And for those pursuing eleventh and twelfth Scholarship: Rs.5,000, with Annual Contingency grant: Rs. 20,000. and for those pursuing graduations Scholarship: Rs.7,000, with Annual Contingency grant: Rs. 28,000.

On the whole the exam will definitely be a rich experience for those embarking on it and would give you an insight into the actually how to plan for competitive exams. A must for all students as the syllabus is just what you study. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
