The TDP leaders of Warangal today performed holy bath with milk to the statue of the late legendary actor NTR following the attack made on it by the TRS activists on Wednesday during the funeral procession of Telangana ideologue Prof. Jayashankar.

The TRS activists and other pro-Telangana elements desecrated the statue of NTR at Hanumakonda by hurling stones and chappals when the funeral procession Jayashankar was passing through the area where the statue stood.

“By your act, you have humiliated a great leader who brought recognition to the Telugu people in the world. We will not keep quite if such acts are repeated,” warned the TDP leaders during the programme. “It is a shame on your part,” they said, adding that they have purified the statue desecrated by the Telangana elements.
