TRS candidate Mr Harish Rao won the Siddipet seat with a huge majority of 95,858votes in the by elections defeating his TDP and Congress rivals. Both TDP and Congress candidates in this constituency lost their deposits.

Mr Harsih Rao in the process broke the record of the late chief Minister Mr YS Raja Sekhara Reddy.
