Delhi Liquor Scam: One more Minister Summoned:- Delhi Transport Minister and AAP leader Kailash Gahlot has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in relation to the liquor policy case. This development follows the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on March 21 by the same probe agency. Gahlot, who represents the Najafgarh constituency, was a member of a panel that drafted the now-cancelled liquor policy for the Delhi government in 2021-22. The probe agency alleges that Gahlot allowed Vijay Nair, the then AAP communication in-charge, to use his official residence during the drafting of the policy. Earlier, the ED claimed that Gahlot frequently changed his mobile numbers. Kejriwal is currently in ED custody until April 1, after being presented in court on March 28. Previously, a Delhi court had remanded Kejriwal to ED custody until March 28 following his arrest.

In addition to Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, former minister Satyendar Jain, and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh have also been arrested in connection with the liquor policy case. The case involves allegations of corruption and money laundering in the formulation and implementation of the Delhi government's liquor policy. AAP has been accused of engaging in cartelisation and showing favoritism towards specific dealers who allegedly paid bribes. However, AAP vehemently denies these allegations. As a result, the policy was discontinued and Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has suggested an investigation into the irregularities that occurred during the creation and execution of the policy.
