KCR implements Rythu Bandhu & Loan Waiver:- Telangana chief minister KCR has credited the Rythu Bandhu aid and crop loan waiver amount to the agricultural family accounts. Due to rain, the crop was damaged to the greatest extent, after the appeal of farmers KCR accepted the crop loan waiver.

Farmers were overwhelmed by the Chief minister’s move and expressed gratitude for implementing both schemes simultaneously. Telangana government has waived off the crop loans to Rs 1 L. The state government also transferred Rs 7,625 Cr to the 68.99 lakh farmers, that is to the farmers owning up to five acres.

So far Telangana government has transferred Rs 72,815 Cr to the farmer's accounts in 11 phases of Rythu Bandhu since May 2018. The state government is facing a cash crunch, so the transfer of Rythu Bandhu for farmers having 5 acres and above is on hold. There are also reports that farmers with above 10 acres are not eligible for the Rythu Bandhu scheme. But on Wednesday KCR transferred funds to many farmers who have above 20 acres and below 100 acres. B Aravind Reddy, a farmer of 20 acres from Nalgonda district has received Rs 1 Lakh under the Rythu Bandhu.

Telangana state government is looking forward to releasing Rs 13,000 Cr to clear the crop loans below Rs 1 L.
