A Big Jolt to BRS and Boost for Congress:- Ahead of the Telangana assembly elections, 35 key BRS leaders are all set to join Congress. A group of leaders led by Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao met Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge and Rahul Gandhi in Delhi on Monday. As per sources, both the leaders Ponguleti and Jupally will join Congress formally in the first week of July. More leaders from BRS and BJP are expected to join Congress.

Jupally Krishna Rao is a five-time MLA from Kollur and also a strong rival to DK Aruna. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is a strongman in Khammam. Out of 35 leaders joining Congress, 12 are former ministers.
