TDP Leader and his Son Arrested in Forgery Case:- TDP leader and former minister Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu and his son Ch Rajesh have been arrested from his residence last night in Narsipatnam in Anakapally district. More than 200 police personnel including the CID reached the residence of Ayyanna Patrudu at 2:30 AM and arrested in a forgery case. Tension prevailed after his family members went into an argument with the cops. The family of Ayyanna Patrudu complained that the cops were present with wire cutters and forcefully entered into their residence without any prior arrest notice. Ayyanna Patrudu has been facing allegations in land encroachment and forgery. Cases are registered against him under the sections of IPC 464,467,471 and 474. Some of them were non-bailable sections and two notices were served to him on the spot.

TDP supporters reached the residence of Ayyanna Patrudu in large numbers after they came to know about the arrest. They raised slogans against the ruling YSRCP government. They alleged that the government has been torturing Ayyanna Patrudu from the past three years and the lives of Ayyanna Patrudu and Rajesh are under threat. Rajesh is a local counsillor from TDP. The senior leaders of TDP condemned the arrest of Ayyanna Patrudu and demanded immediate release. TDP’s Visakhapatnam Urban Constituency president, Palla Srinivasa Rao said that the leader was arrested even before the allegation was proved. TDP supporters called for a bandh in Narsipatnam.
