Eight Killed in a Major Fire Accident in E-bike Showroom in Secunderabad:- Eight people got killed after a massive fire mishap that took place in an electric bike showroom in Secunderabad. The fire spread to the lodge located above the e-bike showroom and the accident took place during the late hours on Monday. All the victims are residing in the hotel when the accident took place told Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP North Zone) Deepti Chandana. By the cops and the fire officials reached the premises, there was thick smoke. Some of them were rescued by the fire fighters through ladders. At least six people were unconscious and they were rushed to nearby hospitals. They are collapsed near the staircase because of the inhalation of the smoke. Telangana Home Minister Md Mahmood Ali and Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav rushed to the premises last night and overlooked the rescue operation.

An inquiry was initiated to find out the real cause of the accident. There are reports that the fire broke out because of the short circuit in the electric bike showroom. The fire spread rapidly into the lodge in no time told the witnesses. Four of the deceased have been identified and two of them are from Chennai. One of the deceased is from Delhi and the other is from Vijayawada. The government of Telangana announced ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakhs for the kin of the victims. A case is registered at the Gopalapuram Police Station against the owner and the showroom under the IPC sections 3-4 and 324. When the accident took place, the lodge had 25 customers and the lodge had one exit. The initial inquiry told that the fire broke out from the cellar where more than 40 electric bikes were parked. Some of the bikes are kept charged suspects the cops.

“Saddened by the loss of lives due to a fire in Secunderabad, Telangana. Condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover soon. Rs. 2 lakhs from PMNRF would be paid to the next of kin of each deceased. Rs. 50,000 would be paid to the injured: PM” told the official statement of the Prime Minister’s Office.
