YS Jagan Requests Rs 10,000 Cr For Polavaram Project

YS Jagan Requests Rs 10,000 Cr For Polavaram Project:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy flew to the national capital New Delhi to meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is present with a proposal of Rs 10000 crores to complete the prestigious Polavaram project. He asked the Prime Minister to grant the funds on an immediate basis so that the project can be completed. YS Jagan met Narendra Modi at his office at 10: 30 AM and the meeting went on for 40 minutes. The Chief Minister's Office revealed that YS Jagan discussed eight issues with Narendra Modi and all these are the discussed ones in the previous meetings of YS Jagan. Here are the proposals and requests made by YS Jagan:

A grant of Rs 10,000 crores to complete the Polavaram project along with a sanction of Rs 2900 crores that was spent by the state government. The Centre has to approve the funds of Rs 55,548.87 crores proposed by the Experts Committee for the project.

Rs 32,625.25 crores which has to be given for Andhra Pradesh as a part of the revenue deficit has to be released immediately. The pending bills of 2014-15 along with the Tenth Wage Commission dues and the pensions given to AP have to be cleared.

77000 tonnes of rice has to be released for ration of the people through Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana.

There are pending electricity dues of Rs 6756 crores from Telangana government after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. But the neighboring state is yet to clear the dues from the past eight years.

AP should be granted special status as the state is running in crisis from the day the new state was announced.

Permissions should be granted for eight new Medical Colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
