Telangana's Sircilla Textile Park reopens today:- The units in the Sircilla Textile Park were not operational and the units resumed work today after the talks between the Sircilla Textile Park Unit Owners’ association and Handlooms and Textiles officials were successful. Telangana IT Minister KTR's personal aide D Srinivas was present to resolve the issue and the talks were completed on a happy note on Monday. The people have been left in huge losses because of which the shutters were closed. 1500 workers are left jobless because of the move. KTR resolved the issue on Monday after the officials visited and initiated talks. The owners of the textile units demanded a reimbursement of Rs 14.666 crores which was pending for the past six years.

The workers wanted the looms modernized and new steps to establish new units. The Telangana government will issue the orders for the same very soon. The government consented to their demands and the owners decided to call off the strike. Soon they organized ksheerabhishekam for the flexis of KCR and KTR at the main gate of the Sircilla Textile Park. The owners are now demanding a waiver of the five percent GST on the textile sector. They want the local MP and BJP leader Bandi Sanjay to take the issue to the Centre. Sircilla Textile Park Unit Owners’ association are also demanding to restore 30 percent subsidy for the technology degradation. They demanded the Centre to set up a Yarn Bank for the power loom modernization.
