Rs 1.85 lakh crore allocated to Union Ministry of Home Affairs

Rs 1.85 lakh crore allocated to Union Ministry of Home Affairs:- The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the Union Budget 2022 today in the Parliament house. The Modi government's top priority has been the internal security of the country and Rs 1.85 lakh crores are allocated for the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. The majority of the funds will be spent on the central police organizations like BSF, CRPF and to improve the infrastructure over the international borders. The total budget allocated to Union Ministry of Home Affairs is Rs 1,85,776.55 crores and it is 11.5 percent more than the current fiscal which happens to be Rs 1,66,546.94 crores.

Union Ministry of Home Affairs is keen to modernize the police forces and spend more on women safety, cyber security. The budget allocated for MHA funs for the cops is Rs 1,17,687.99 crores. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will handle the internal security duties in Jammu and Kashmir. They are allocated Rs 29,324.92 crores and Rs 27,307.42 crores were given last year. The Border Security Force (BSF) guards the Indian border is allocated Rs 22,718.45 crores. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) got Rs 12,201.90 crores. The Shashastra Seema Bal (SSB) guards the border with Nepal and Bhutan. SSB got Rs 7653.73 crores. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) got Rs 7461.28 crores.

The National Security Guard (NSG) got Rs 1293.37 crores and the Intelligence Bureau is allocated Rs 3168.36 crores. The Special Protection Group (SPG) got Rs 385.95 crores. The Delhi Police got Rs 10,096.29 crores which is less than last year. Rs 200 crores are allocated for special programs to women security. An amount of Rs 3659.84 crores are given for the improvement of the police infrastructure.
