India's New Coronavirus Tally On A Toll:- The new cases of coronavirus are increasing at a rapid speed in India. A total number of 37,379 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours and most of them are due to the spread of the Omicron variant. In New Delhi, 84 percent of the new cases are due to the new variant. The active cases of coronavirus in the country are said to be 1,71,830 and a total number of 146.70 crore vaccine doses are administered across the country till date. A total number of 11,007 people recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours in India and the total number of recoveries climbed to 3,43,06,414. The daily positivity rate climbed to 3.24 percent and the weekly positivity rate stands at 2.05 percent.

124 people passed away in the country in the last 24 hours and the total death toll climbed to 4,82,017. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is tested positive for coronavirus told and he self-isolated himself. As per the reports, more than 75 percent cases in the metros are due to the Omicron variant told the Covid Task Force Boss. The Omicron tally in India stands at 1892 and they are fast rising and spreading. The coronavirus vaccination drive for the children between 15 and 18 years commenced yesterday and more than 40 lakh children took their first dose of Covaxin across the country. Maharasthra has 568 Omicron cases and it is followed by Delhi with 382 cases.

The Indian coronavirus tally reported today is the highest in the last 117 days as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. Maharashtra alone reported 12,160 new cases and West Bengal reported 6078 cases while Delhi has 4099 cases.
