Telangana Government Declared War On Drugs Smugglers:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) had a detailed meeting with the officials after which he directed the excise officials and cops to take on drug trafficking and abuse in the state. KCR revealed that the usage of drugs in the state is on a rise and it should be controlled before it reaches the extremes. KCR also expressed his concern over the gambling clubs and illicit liquor in the state. KCR said that drug peddlers floated WhatsApp groups and exchanged messages about the deals. KCR ordered a special cell with a DG level officer to keep a track of the drug smugglers. He also wanted the officials to wipe out the illegal cultivation of drugs in Telangana.

All the top officials of the police and excise department attended the meeting that is chaired by KCR in Pragathi Bhavan. Home Minister Mahmood Ali along with Excise Minister Srinivas Goud, Chief Advisor Rajiv Sharma and Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar were present for the meeting. KCR said that there is an increase in the usage of cannabis and there is an urgent need to declare a war against the drug rackets and users. He wanted the officials to come up with an action plan to prevent the usage of drugs in the state. He also wanted the officials to keep a special focus on the cultivation of ganja which got increased and the cultivation needs to be stopped soon. The reports said that the youth of the state are getting attracted to drugs at a young age. The reports also said that the availability of the banned drugs got increased in the state.
