Telangana is the Fourth Largest Contributor to the Indian Economy:- Telangana state is the fourth largest contributor to the Indian economy. The news is revealed as per the “Handbook of Statistics on the Indian Economy 2020-21” released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The net state value added (NSVA) of Telangana increased from Rs 4,16,930 crores in the year 2014-15 to Rs 8,10,503 crores in the year 2020-21. Tamil Nadu is on the top of the list with Rs 15,44,935 crores and is followed by Karnataka with Rs 13,40,350 crores. West Bengal stands third with Rs 11,04,866 crores. Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing contributed the most for the state with Rs 1,76,486 crores and is followed by Trade, Repair, Hotels and Restaurants with Rs 1,32,369 crores. Real Estate and Professional Services contributed to Rs 1,59,958 crores from the state.

When it comes to per capita net domestic product, Telangana is in the fourth place. It was Rs 1,24,104 in 2014-15 and it now reached Rs 2,37,632 in 2020-21. The state's performance is also far better than many states and the national average. The per capita net national income was Rs 1,28,829. When it comes to the geographical area, Telangana is the 11th largest state and 12th in population. But when it comes to contributing to the economy of the country, Telangana is in fourth place. KTR expressed his happiness on the achievement.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble CM KCR Garu, Telangana state continues to punch above its weight. Ranks 12th in population & 11th geographically, 4th in nation-building".
