Telangana Chief Minister KCR's grandson and Telangana IT Minister KTR's son Himanshu Rao bagged the prestigious Diana Award for his efforts for SHOMA which is making villages sustainable. Himanshu Rao himself informed the news through his twitter page. He posted "Diana Awards honor young people who work to improve the lives of others. The award is the most prestigious accolade a young person aged between 9 and 25 years can receive for their social action or humanitarian work. It is named after Diana, Princess of Wales. With great delight, I announce that I have received my Diana Award for my tremendous initiative SHOMA – Making Villages Self-Sustainable. More details will be announced soon!".
Himanshu Rao thanked Diana Award for recognizing his efforts and hard work. He also thanked his grandfather KCR for guiding him well in this matter. Himanshu Rao has taken programs in Gangapur and Yousuf Khan Pally in the constituency of Gajwel under SHOMA. Several politicians and celebrities showered wishes for this 15-year-old youngster for bagging the prestigious award. Himanshu Rao's father KTR wanted his son to continue to deliver good work in the coming future. Himanshu Rao will soon receive this prestigious award.
