India reports 54,069 new cases of coronavirus:- India reported 54,069 new cases of coronavirus in the country in the last 24 hours as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The total number of cases in the country now reached 3,00,82,778. With 68,885 recoveries reported in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries reached 2,90,63,740. There are 6,27,057 active cases for coronavirus in India as per the reports. 1321 new deaths are reported in India and the total death toll reached 3,91,981. The total number of Indians who took up the vaccination dose for coronavirus are said to be 30,16,26,028.

As per the reports from the Health Ministry, over 1.89 crore doses of coronavirus vaccines are available with the states and the union territories. The active cases are equal to 2.08 percent of the total coronavirus tally in India. The daily positivity rate is recorded at 2.91 percent in India and the positivity rate declined to 3.04 percent as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The new deaths continued to be more than 1000 per day. The mortality rate stood at 1.30 percent for the fourth straight day in a row. Madhya Pradesh yesterday reported the first-ever death due to the Delta Plus variant in the Ujjain district. Five cases of the Delta Plus variant are reported in Madhya Pradesh.

As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total samples tested for coronavirus on July 23rd are said to be 18,59,469 and the samples tested in total are said to be 39,78,32,667.
