Indian coronavirus tally slides down further:- After reaching the peak daily tally of over 4 lakh cases per day, the second wave of coronavirus is sliding down on a regular basis. After reporting more than 60,000 cases on a daily basis, the cases dipped down further. A total number of 53,256 new cases for coronavirus are reported in the country yesterday taking the total number of cases reported till date to 2,99,35,221. 78,190 people recovered or discharged in the last 24 hours taking the total number of recoveries in the country to 2,88,44,199. 1422 new deaths are reported in the country taking the total death tally to reach 3,88,135. There are 7,02,887 active cases for coronavirus in the country for now and the total number of people who got vaccinated reached 28,00,36,898.

The country reported the lowest daily tally in three months. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed the Indian government for not offering any compensation for the families of the deceased due to coronavirus. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the people of the country to take up yoga to battle coronavirus on the occasion of International Yoga Day. The free vaccination drive for all the adults in the country starts today and the Centre will offer the vaccinations for free of cost to all the states and union territories. The World Health Organization asked all the countries to step up the vaccination drive to prevent another surge. China is said to have administered over one billion doses of coronavirus vaccines in the country till date.
